Responding to COVID-19
In the 35 years that LUMINO have been involved in the lighting industry, we have never experienced a situation like this. I wanted to personally reassure you that we’re doing our best to protect our staff, suppliers and customers and keep the business running. We’ve got a plan in place and we’re constantly reviewing that to comply with the government recommendations as soon as they are updated.
So far, the factory is still operating fully and in compliance with social distancing, the team on the factory floor all have PPE and are keeping their distance from each other. The sales, admin and finance teams are continuing to support our customers from home and our R&D team are continuing their hard work remotely.
We can’t pretend this will be easy for anyone, but we’re doing what we can to help people keep working where absolutely necessary. To be more specific, these are some of the measures that we have in place to do our bit to stop the virus spreading:
- Increased cleaning, with twice daily sanitising of production areas and high contact areas within the factory
- All admin, sales, finance and R&D staff are working remotely to support normal operations
- Factory staff are adhering to social distancing and using PPE where necessary
We’re also working hard as we speak to put together a ‘Home specification survival kit’ for our specifiers and partners, to help make sure that you all have what you need to carry on.
We are entering a time of unprecedented restrictions on how we live and work, with the key priority being the health of our staff, suppliers, customers and their families, we are working tirelessly to ensure that we maintain the best and safest service we can for everyone.
Thank you for your ongoing support through these difficult times, we want you to know that we are here, and will still be here whenever you need us.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Small,
Managing Director
