Base Interior Awarded

Winner of the 2014 International Design and Architecture Award, this London apartment, with stunning views over Portman Square gardens is located in arguably one of the most prestigious buildings in Central London. 

Base Interior were appointed to create a stunning contemporary Art Deco home and together with Foundry Light + Design, specified Lumino’s Vector linear LED lighting profile and Steorra plaster-in downlights.

The award winning design practice founder, Deborah Bass commented;

‘By highlighting the apartment’s existing period features, as well as creating architectural detailing in Art Deco style, we have ensured that period detailing remains part of the apartment’s very fabric. However, the use of razor-edge ceiling profiles, plastered-in light fittings, laser-cut electro-polished stainless steel and water jet cut mosaic marbles, has helped bring the period details into the 21st century.’

Steorra 66 plaster-in downlights in square specification illuminate the apartment together with linear Vector V12S profiles in White Spectrum 2600K colour temperature.
